The book also examines the source of nutritional confusion produced by powerful lobbies, government entities and opportunistic scientists. The New York Times has recognized the study as the “Grand Prix of epidemiology” and the “most comprehensive large study ever undertaken on the relationship between diet and the risk of developing disease”.

He is a proponent of a primarily plant based foods diet and encourages the commencement of such a diet as early in life as possible.   • The East Hampton Healthcare Foundation (www.easthamptonhealthcare.org) facilitates the delivery of improved healthcare to all residents of East Hampton by offering a range of physician services, including pediatrics, general internal and specialized adult medicine, paying particular attention to the prevention of illness as well as to diagnosis and treatment of disease.
